Former American football quarterback in the NFL who is currently a quarterbacks coach at Central Michigan. He was drafted in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Frye broke 54 football records during his college career at the University of Akron. As a player, his last stint was with the Oakland Raiders in 2009. His Wonderlic score in the NFL Combine was 38. He has been coaching different schools since 2012. He joined the coaching staff of Ashland University in 2018, under the guidance of his former coach, Lee Owens, whom he played for during his college days with Akron. Frye expressed the delight in being reunited with familiar faces, just as head coach Owens expressed excitement with Frye’s joining them. But, in February of 2019, Frye accepted the quarterback coach position in Central Michigan.
