This former American football quarterback played college football at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications. He was not drafted, and signed up as a free agent for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns cut him on September 2 2006. He signed up with the Denver Broncos in 2007. He eventually decided to become a college quarterback coach. Although he scored high on the Wonderlic test with a 40, his NFL career really did not take off, proving that being smart does not make a person successful. But he was smart enough to realize that as a player he didn’t quite make it, and moved on to coaching.
