Are you just as curious as to why Queen Elizabeth’s face is still on Canadian money? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one! While Canadians find it rude to comment on this fact, it just so happens that the Queen is not only featured on all Canadian coins, but she’s also on their 20 dollar bill. This is due to the fact that ‘the country is a constitutional monarchy, and the Queen is the official head of state.’ Yes, this is confusing since they have been ‘fully sovereign since the Constitution Act of 1982’ and are no longer dependent on the United Kingdom, but maybe they just don’t want to bother changing it now. Or maybe they’re just too nice? Honestly, it could be a little of both.
