While water might be a concern when you visit other places, this is not the case in Sweden. The tap water is perfectly safe to drink. It is clean, crisp, and fresh. Just bring a water bottle with you whenever you step out of your hotel to tour the city or islands and top it up wherever possible. Bottled water is not cheap in Sweden, costing about 20 SEK, so it’s best to just carry a refillable water bottle. Not only will you save money by not buying bottled water, but you’ll also help Sweden in its efforts to reduce waste. Since Swedes are big on recycling, they’re not too happy with tourists purchasing and disposing of many water bottles.
