Don’t Plan To Shop During Midsummer

If you’re planning your trip to Sweden in the summer months, check that you’re not visiting during midsummer. Most of the Swedes would have also made plans to head out of the city and celebrate in their favorite summer destinations. This means most restaurants and stores are closed, and this can be a real disappointment for tourists. Midsummer Day is celebrated during a weekend between June 20th and 26th, but many locals have their annual five-week vacation at this time. Many businesses and establishments are closed in July, and some restaurants, cafes, and shops are shut down for an entire month. So, don’t schedule your visit during these weeks unless you’re fine with cooking and eating in your hotel throughout your stay.
