Don’t Expect The Sun To Set At 6 PM

The days during the summer in Sweden are extremely long. The sun rises at 3:40 AM and sets at 10:00 PM. So, if you rely on the position of the sun to note the time, remember that the sun doesn’t set at 6 PM. This is perfect for visitors because you get plenty of daylight to explore the cities and islands, and you’ll have a lot of light for pictures. However, don’t be puzzled if you find yourself exhausted and sleepy while the sun is still blazing hot in the sky; it’s most likely already 9 in the evening. Everything’s in reverse though during the winter months, and daylight hours are limited. In January, the sun rises at 8:47 AM and sets at 2:55 PM.
