Demonstrate patience and discipline and get in line whether you’re in the pharmacy, in your local grocery store, at the bank, waiting outside a bar, or waiting for public transport. Many businesses have a ticketing system where you take a number from a machine when you enter the store and wait for your turn to be served once your number is called. If you got to the place first but forgot to get a number, expect that the people who were able to get a ticket before you to be assisted first. Don’t ignore the line culture and shove to the front of the queue. Everyone is expected to stay in an orderly line while waiting to be served. There is almost no acceptable reason for you to get ahead of people who arrived and got a ticket before you. The great thing about having a ticket is you can stay at a nearby café or eatery while waiting for your number to be called.
