Never Forget Basic Good Manners

Source: https://www.traveldudes.org

The Bahamas is a predominantly Christian country, and the people are very civil and polite. Greeting strangers is a common practice, and the locals always  say “please” and “thank you”, and expect foreign visitors to do the same. And kissing in public is not accepted, shaking hands is. If ever you are invited to a home, always bring a small gift as a token of appreciation. You can get lots of gift items at the grocery store. Or better yet, bring some stuff from your country to give out as gift items. These can be given to a host, server, hotel staff, and cab driver. Small inexpensive items will do. You will be surprised at how they are appreciated. The fact that you went out of your way to give them tokens of appreciation will surely be, well, appreciated.
