There are beach vendors all over the place, particularly where there are a lot of tourists. That is how they make a living. They will offer almost anything, from jet-ski rentals, to party drugs and weed. Water sports equipment is not regulated in the Bahamas, and most do not function well. If anything happens, don’t expect the vendors to rescue you. Weed and party drugs are illegal, and authorities are not lenient with tourists. So politely decline if you are approached. They will move on to the next unsuspecting foreigner, so don’t worry.
