Don’t Expect Live Music Everywhere

The Live Music Capital of the world rightfully earned its name because of its vibrant music scene that takes place all over the city. You can enjoy live music at a number of events, such as the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival, the SXSW, the Urban Music Festival, and the Old Settler’s Music Festival. You can also listen to large instrumental ensembles at the Austin Symphony Orchestra and the Austin Lyric Opera. Austin provides all the excuses to celebrate music.

However, don’t expect to experience live music in every corner of the city, and don’t start looking for a musician or a band during lunch at a restaurant. Most of the live music venues are concentrated in few areas of the capital.
