While Texas doesn’t have laws that prohibit women from going topless in public, the state is generally conservative. However, keeping things weird (or simply different), Austin is quite liberal and boasts of the only nude beach in the entire state of Texas. You can go to Hippie Hollow at Lake Travis and be in your birthday suit without worrying about getting arrested for indecent exposure or public lewdness. You can swim in the lake or sunbathe on a slab of rock sans clothes. However, don’t stare at fellow sunbathers, and don’t even think about taking pictures of other people. It might not be the smartest thing to take a naked selfie as well because your nude photo might get leaked online. Also, keep your clothes on if you’re not at the beach yet because you don’t have that clothes-free option at the parking lot. Lastly, don’t forget to apply sunscreen on all exposed parts of your body.
