Don’t forget to explore beyond downtown Austin because you can find some of the city’s best venues just outside the city center. You can head south and enjoy an intimate atmosphere and free happy hour shows during weekdays at the Saxon Pub. You can check out The Continental Club which has an impressive reputation as the leading and legendary South Congress club featuring local and national blues, jazz, rock, and country acts. Emo’s, once called The Back Room, is another amazing venue with good acoustics and great shows.
