Palace Of 8 Heavens

The Hasht Behesht, which literally means “the Eight Heavens” in Persian, is also the name for The Palace of 8 Heavens located on Charbagh Street in Isfahan. Built back in 1669, this particular palace was one of 40 that was still standing back in the day, but in modern times, unfortunately it remains the only one left. The two-story building was created based on a ‘hasht-behesht plan’ which basically is a particular type of floor plan that has a center hall surrounded by 8 other rooms. But aside from this interesting set of architectural rules that set its structure, the way the palace was designed with all the ornate details is even more impressive.
