Palace Of Tachara

Also known as the Palace of Darius the Great, the Palace of Tachara goes way back to the year 486 when it was constructed. Found in the ancient city of Persepolis, the Tachara is one of the very few buildings that has managed to remain standing after Alexander the Great declared war and burned most of the structures there. What was meant to be a place for ceremonies ended up becoming Darius’ own palace at the time as well, although it wasn’t actually finished being built until after his death. Regardless, it’s one piece of Iranian history worth seeing if you get the chance.
