Considering how ornate and lavish the Niavaran Palace Complex is in Tehran, the 9000 square meter residence was once just a summer home for the Shah of the Qajar dynasty. The palace itself was completed in 1968 after it was torn down and rebuilt once more, as were all the other buildings in the complex. These days, the entire complex is made up of 5 different museums, known as the ‘Niavaran Palace Museum, Ahmad Shahi Pavilion, Sahebqaraniyeh Palace, Jahan Nama museum and the private library.’ And there are other areas within the compound that boast of gorgeous gardens, galleries and even a private cinema.
