Located on the West Azerbayjan, the Takht-e Soleyman village has its roots deep in religious history. Not only was it said to be ‘the birthplace of Zoroaster,’ it was also home to a number of various tribes like the Parthian, Achaemenian, and many others. But probably the most controversial of all is that some claim that it is also the ‘site of the holy grail of Christ,’ and the water was where he took a drink on the last night of his life. It has also been part of the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2003.
