The Russian Doll

Cloudfront

Not only stories of finding weird stuff in an old home is bad! In fact, for one family, they would make the discovery of a lifetime. For almost 70 years, one upstate New York house concealed a Russian figurine inside the attic. Apparently, it was an incredibly rare Faberge figurine that had originally commissioned by Czar Nicholas II back in 1912 for his wife, Empress Alexandra. Experts share that only 50 pieces of this model have ever been in existence which is why the figurine was later on auctioned off for a whopping $5.2 million.
