While the cash was old dollar bills, the fact that many of them were from the late 1920s and early 1930s made them even more extraordinary. According to the husband, “Some of the bills were rarer than others. Some brown notes, a gold certificate and some star notes nearly uncirculated. All bills were from 1928 – 1934.” The only thing that the couple could think to do was have their lawyer take a look at the money to see what they were really worth. But they would soon realize that there was even more to the story, and it was going to be much more terrifying than they could have ever thought.
