People these days have safes that are easily moved from one house to another. But in earlier days, safes were usually built into the home, mostly in the basement or sometimes, even buried in the background. One couple made a shocking discovery when they found a safe built into their kitchen wall of all places. When they opened it, they found $50,000 in cash, a bottle of bourbon, and a book entitled “A Guide for the Perplexed” by E.F. Schumacher. It seemed almost ironic to the couple considering the discovery was mind-boggling to say the least!
