Woody Harrelson

Part of the magic of “Cheers” was that the setting inside the bar looked very real. Cheers was inspired by the Bull & Finch Pub in Boston, a real watering hole established in 1969 that was later renamed Cheers Beacon Hill as a salute to the show. It was in this show, which aired on NBC from 1982 to 1993, that Academy award-nominee Woody Harrelson first became known, playing the role of bartender, “Woody Boyd,“ opposite Ted Danson.
It was during this time in Harrelson’s career that he probably dated Twitter user @joaniemarie123’s mom, who’s shown here with the actor in this picture. It’s amazing how Woody doesn’t seem to age!
The playwright is still keeping himself busy nowadays, with him reprising his role as “Tallahasee” in the post-apocalyptic, zombie movie sequel, “Zombieland: Double Tap”
