By 1989, there was no choice but to place Beth in the facility to get the treatment that she desperately needed. Often, children that have suffered the same kind of abuse that Beth has normally grow up with major social awkwardness and anti-social behaviors that often turn violent. If she didn’t get the proper care, there’s no way of knowing the kind of harm she could inflict on her family, on the family pets, and even on herself.
