Also called the “Philly Philly,” this trick play was ran by the Philadelphia Eagles against the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LII. The Eagles were leading the Patriots 15-12 with 38 seconds remaining in the first half, with fourth down at the Patriots’ 1-yard line. After the timeout, when the play was suggested by QB Nick Foles, the Eagles lined up in the pistol formation. Foles then shouts “Kill, kill”, followed by “Lane, lane,” which led to center Jason Kelce to snap the ball to running back Corey Clement, who in turn laterals it to tight end Trey Burton. Burton then slips a pass to Foles, who then snuck into the end zone for the touchdown.
