The Denver Bronco’s game-tying offensive drive in the fourth quarter that sent the 1986 AFC Championship game against the Cleveland Brown to overtime that was engineered by quarterback John Elway is simply known as “The Drive.” With the Browns leading 20-13, and five and a half minutes remaining in regulation, Elway took over on their 2-yard line. It was a series of 15 plays in total, which included a couple of 20-yard passes as well as a total of 20 yards run by Elway, that culminated with a 5-yard pass from Elway to wide receiver Mark Jackson for the touchdown that sent the game into overtime. The Broncos would go on to win, 23-20, and advance to the Super Bowl.
