With only six seconds remaining in Super Bowl XXXIV with the St. Louis Rams leading 23-16, the Tennessee Titans had a chance to tie the game with one final play. At the Rams’ 10-yard line, the Titans planned to use tight end Frank Wycheck as a decoy to free receiver Kevin Dyson. But as quarterback Steve McNair fired the pass to Wycheck, Rams linebacker Mike Jones, who was at the goal line, noticed the open Dyson and ran towards the receiver. Dyson caught the ball but was quickly tackled by Jones at the legs with about two yards left to the goal line. Dyson tried to stretch his hands towards a touchdown but came up short, and as his shoulder touched the ground, the game was over.
