In the second quarter of Super Bowl X between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lynn Swann would make one of the plays that would earn him the game’s MVP. With less than four minutes remaining in the half and the Steelers facing third-and-6 at their 10-yard line, quarterback Terry Bradshaw launched a 53-yard pass to wide receiver Lynn Swann, who leapt into the air to catch the ball. He was contested by Dallas cornerback Mark Washington who appeared to tip the ball away but Swann recovered the ball just as he fell to complete the pass. The Steelers would go on to win the Super Bowl, 21-17.
