Never Underestimate A Storm Warning

Part of Australia is sub-tropical so it gets its fair share of tropical storms and cyclones. Should a storm warning come, pay attention. Some storms can really be nasty and quite dangerous. Don’t attempt to drive through flooded roads, swim in closed waters, and camp near big trees. Be very cautious about flash floods and storm surges. There have been some fatalities in recent storms, mostly tourists who did not take the storm warnings seriously. Even the seasoned locals know when to stay home. Eventually the storm will pass, it always does. So don’t be in a hurry to enjoy Australia, especially during a storm.
