For those who rely heavily on the internet on a daily basis, be prepared to be disappointed. While there is internet, you may not be able to use it. Since 2015, the local telecommunications company started adding WiFi hot spots on major cities. To use it, you will have to purchase a WiFi card which will allow you only 1 hour of usage. They often run out of cards as many people want to buy them. If you can, buy as many as you think you will need. It only costs CUC 2.50 per hour usage. You can also purchase these cards from street vendors that roam the parks with WiFi. Just one note, don’t expect the WiFi to be reliable or fast. Welcome to Cuba.
