Never Blow Your Nose Or Spit In Public

Most tourists do not understand what is wrong with blowing your nose in public. Spitting is quite obvious though. But locals find it offensive to see anybody blowing their nose in public.They consider it very rude. Other Latin America countries do not have this custom, just Cuba. It is hard to comprehend, but just the same, follow their customs. You can excuse yourself and go to a bathroom, or area where no one can see you, and clear your nose there. That is the proper thing to do. Don’t think the locals won’t tell you off, Cubans are very loud and vocal, and will not hesitate reprimanding arrogant tourists.
