Don’t Visit Hong Kong During The Summer

Summer is the worst time to visit the busy city because it is infamously hot and humid in July then you’ll be plagued by typhoons in August. If you do decide to still visit in the summer, don’t forget to bring a light cardigan or jacket because while it’s stifling outside, building owners keep it very cold inside malls, cafes, and restaurants. The heat is punishing in July, so equip yourself with sunscreen and a reliable deodorant stick. It will be almost impossible to enjoy outdoor activities such as strolling and hiking, so plan most of your trip around indoor sights and activities. While the high humidity remains in August, anticipate a deluge of showers, thunderstorms, and typhoons. You’ll need to arm yourself with rain gear and set your expectations because your travel plans will most likely be interrupted by typhoons. If it’s too hot to enjoy walks in July, expect it to be too wet to enjoy outdoor activities in August. It would be a challenge to explore everything the city has to offer during these months.
