Taxis are available everywhere in Singapore, but insiders always warn you against using this form of public transportation. Why? Because they are quite expensive, which can be extremely inconvenient if you’re traveling on a budget. The MRT (mass rapid transit) is just as fast and efficient, if not even more so. You can get around the city comfortably, and the best part is that you’ll only pay a small fraction of what you’d usually shell out for taxis. Another good option would be the bus network. All you need to do is secure a pass and you’re good to go.
