Staying on the Right Side of the Street

People stay on the left side of the road when they drive. The same rule applies when walking down the street or using the escalator. Especially with the latter, give space for those who are in a hurry. People will overtake you from the right and it’s always better for you to be aware of this. Again, this isn’t an offense that will land you in jail, but if you forget to follow it, you’ll definitely irritate a lot of people along the way. As a tourist, it’s always better to get on the good side of the locals.
