Jarts Missile Game

History Daily

Who doesn’t love a good game of Jarts? Oh wait, you don’t throw these babies at a cork board but actually in the yard on the lawn, forget the fact that these metal tipped arrows can actually puncture someone’s head, leg or any other part of the body if someone’s aim isn’t on target. By the time 1987 came around, the game ended up getting banned after a tragic accident left a little girl dead. Even though they had changed it to an “adults only” game, a reported 6000 people had to get harmed first before they finally took it off the market.
