Here is another example of a kids’ toy from the 60s that had no concern about children hurting themselves. This toy Swack! was basically a game that had children putting their fingers in an actual mousetrap as they attempted to remove their fingers before getting smacked, bruised or broken. Sounds like so much fun right? Wrong! Seriously though, what was the aim of the game? Who broke some skin first? Whose finger would turn black and blue first or maybe just to make it bleed? Whatever it was, parents probably took this toy to use on actual mice, and we bet they caught a ton!
