Beetle Bailey Rubber Band Gun

Once again, this is another toy that was aimed at keeping boys occupied by using guns and other forms of ammunition. Beetle Bailey was a very popular character back in the 50s, never mind that the packaging showed him aiming his gun at a women’s exposed behind and with an audience of soldiers at that. Although this gun didn’t use bullets, it still used rubber bands that could be aimed and flung so far that it could do some real damage if pointed the wrong way. There would be no way in army hell that any toy company would be allowed to produce anything like this today, especially with an illustration of a woman’s behind bent over the way it is.
