Duck-Billed Platypus

One look at this creature you would think evolution has played a dirty trick on it. It looks like a beaver with a duck-bill and webbed feet. It is this peculiarity that makes it, cute, to say the least. They seem so friendly playing with each other, and appear harmless. But the males have a pair of spurs on their hind legs that can deliver painful and debilitating toxins, though not lethal to humans. But it is still painful. They only activate the venom glands during breeding season, which supports the hypothesis that it is used against rival males, and not for protection. Still, don’t take it on as a pet.
