Small, unassuming and colorful frog. Looks harmless and peaceful. But the color is a sign of one of the most poisonous toxins in the world. A lot more poisonous than cyanide or a viper’s toxin. Native South and Central American Indians rub their darts or arrows on the mucus secreted at the backside of the frog. This is used for hunting animals in the trees…one shot kills the prey almost instantly. It will also just take a few minutes before death if a human is poisoned. Don’t touch this little creature if you happen to see one.
