One of the saddest and unforeseen accidents with a stingray. Accidental or not, he paid for it with his life. His family does not blame the animal, still, for a person who has survived crocodiles, lions, and other ferocious and deadly animals, to get killed by a gentle stingray is shocking to say the least. They normally mind their own business. The stinger is rarely used, purely for defensive purposes. It goes to show you that even experts are not exempt from danger. Nature can sometimes be cruel, but that is life.
