“Good things are twice as good in Cellophane.” – DuPont Cellophane

Cloudfront

Because one baby inside a plastic bag is not horrifying enough, let’s have two babies to cause permanent trauma to our minds.
Aren’t there warning labels on plastic bags that remind adults to keep the bag away from babies and children to avoid the risk of suffocation? This ad just did the exact opposite and wrapped twin baby boys in plastic then stated, “Good things are twice as good in Cellophane.” The wordplay on the word “twice” just doubled our anxiety about the children’s safety.
Sure, Cellophane is not exactly plastic, and it is biodegradable unlike plastic, but its production requires the use of toxic chemicals such as carbon disulfide, sulfuric acid, sodium sulfate, and glycerin. So, yes, the babies are not just swathed in a transparent sheet, the product of noxious substances is also rubbing against their baby soft skin.
Lastly, tying the Cellophane bag with a blue ribbon does not help at all.
