Apple Cider Vinegar Trap

Flies can’t resist the scent of vinegar, particularly apple cider vinegar. To make the fly trap, all you need to do is to pour a little cider vinegar in a jar, cover the opening with plastic wrap, and secure with a rubber band. Simple and inexpensive. Poke a few holes in the plastic wrap for the fruit flies to enter. Once inside, they won’t be able to exit. Make several of these DIY traps and place them around the house where you normally see flies. While these simple traps will rid you of the flies, you still have to spot the breeding grounds and cleanse them so they can’t lay eggs and breed more flies. Once the breeding grounds are eliminated, your fly problem will go away. Just don’t leave rotting fruits or vegetables out in the open, the flies will return.
