For those who remember this head-turner when she was just a teen, her looks and daring created a name for her then. She started out modelling before trying her luck as an actress. She landed a role in Paradise, a 1981 film with a similar plot to the more popular Blue Lagoon. Surprisingly, even though she was still a minor at 17, she did a number of nude scenes in the film. Although her father was also an actor, he did not want the career for Phoebe. She was also a good singer, and she sang the film’s main theme song, and recorded an album of the same name. She mentioned it was difficult adjusting from modelling to acting, as models should be conscious of the camera, but actresses should not. She also starred in a couple of Gremlins films. But that was not enough to get her to where she wanted to be. Eventually she decided to retire from acting.
