Edward Furlong won a Saturn and MTV movie award for his breakthrough performance as John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. He was just 14 years old in 1991 when the movie came out. He earned a second Saturn Award nomination the next year for Pet Sematary 2. In 1993, he won a Young Artist Award for his performance alongside Kathy Bates in A Home of our Own. he has received acclaim for other roles in films until the year 2000. It looked like things were going his way, and Hollywood was ready for a new superstar. But Furlong was a troubled young man. He was apprehended by police twice for substance abuse, and underwent rehab for alcoholism and drug addiction. He still served 61 days in jail, and it seemed that he ruined his own promising career in Hollywood.
