Fairuza’s first major role in Hollywood was in Walt Disneys’ Return to Oz, where she played the role of Dorothy. After this, she played several minor roles in films such as The Worst Witch. Back in 1993, she received an Independent Spirit award as best actress for her role in the film, Food Lodging. She also played a typical role in her portrayal of the power-crazy witch Nancy, in The Craft. Many thought she would continue to use her “magic” to star in more of these roles she was great at, but it didn’t turn out that way. It seems the “magic” is gone.
