This Canadian actor gained recognition in the comedy series Second City Television during the 1980s, and starred in a number of good Hollywood movies like Ghostbusters, Strange Brew, Little Shop of Horrors, Spaceballs, and Honey I Shrunk the Kids, as well as The Flintstones. It seemed things were going the comedian’s way. But in 1997, he decided to quit to focus on his kids. He was a widowed husband and single-father, he knew his priorities. While he hasn’t made any real appearances on film, he has done voice-overs for selected animated films. He also did some comedy albums and fan events. Numerous fans want him to make a comeback, so we just have to wait and see what the future holds for Rick Moranis. He may not have achieved super stardom, but he surely was a super dad.
