Sophia Loren Who Credits Her Beauty to Spaghetti

Groovy History

As crazy as it sounds, Sophia Constanza Brigida Villani Scicolone, otherwise known as Sophia Loren, claims that she owes her entire career to pasta. The Italian beauty was reported saying, “Everything you see I owe to spaghetti,” talking about her incredible curves. Her career began as a teenager in the 1950’s, but only truly took off after she played the role of Cesira in the movie “Two Women,” by Vittorio De Sica. Her role won her an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1962, and was the first time the Oscar was given for a foreign-language performance too. She would go on to star in almost 100 films throughout her career.
