Cincinnati Reds’ Johnny Bench, After Winning the 1975 World Series

If you’re a baseball fan, then the name Johnny Bench should definitely ring a bell. Considered one of the greatest players of his generation, he played in the Major Leagues from the year 1967 to 1983 for the Cincinnati Reds. This particular photo was from one of the teams’ most memorable dates, when they went on to win the World Series in 1975 in a 7-game series. Here he is enjoying a very well-deserved congratulatory beer. Bench would also be voted as the National League’s Most Valuable Player twice, as well as a 14-time All-Star player, and considered “the greatest catcher in baseball history.”
