Loni Anderson’s breakout role was in the movie Nevada Smith alongside Steve McQueen back in 1966, but she truly became a household name on the tv series, WKRP in Cincinnati. She played the receptionist Jennifer Marlowe, a role that happened to earn her an Emmy nomination. It took some time for her to be appreciated for her work though, spending almost a decade without work before getting a guest role on the tv series Three’s Company. This is what eventually got the ABC network to notice her and put her in the role of Marlowe.
