Things are vastly different now than they were thirty years ago. Perhaps the leaps and bounds we have taken in technology have helped us feel more in control of our environment, but we also are generally far more paranoid and scared of what could happen — not just to us, but more importantly, to our children. The overflow of information, bad news, abductions, murders next door, and all these horrible things that humanity is doing to one another doesn’t help ease our thoughts much either. 30 years ago, things were different. A lot of people were much more innocent then.

Here’s a look back on what we used to do as kids that would be considered completely insane, or downright illegal, today.
