At a certain point, Jessica Alba wanted to take control of her career. Aside from no longer wanting to play the hot chick, she also refused many supporting roles because she wanted a leading part or to be at the helm of a project. We got to applaud Alba for speaking up, but when you don’t have an impressive number of blockbuster movies under your name, it’s not wise to refuse offers left and right if you’re trying to revive your Hollywood career and glory. Alba realized she was not being offered the same roles other celebrities were, and she expressed her disappointment and difficulty in finding roles that stirred her passion. Alba even vented about all the lousy scripts she’d accepted throughout the years, telling Elle Magazine that all the good actors she’d worked with didn’t use the script unless it’s amazing writing. While her fellow cast members had the freedom to say what they wanted to say, she had to strictly follow the script.
