The property found in Upper Phillimore Gardens in Kensington, South-West London, is worth $126 million these days, but when philanthropist Elena Franchuk first bought the property, she got it for a little over $99 million. Once the purchase went through, the 5-story home underwent construction, with a sauna, gym, cinema and underground swimming pool being added on the premises, as well as a panic room. The house already had 10 bedrooms, but lacked the other types of amenities that the new owner, the daughter of the former Ukranian President Viktor Pinchuk, wanted to have in her new home, probably also so she could entertain her friends, one of which is Sir Elton John.
