One look at Black Canary Barbie had parents cursing Mattel for giving their impressionable young daughters the idea that they could dress up like hookers and get away with it. But what they didn’t realize is that she’s actually a DC character from one of the many comics they’ve created and that she actually came with a warning label that says ‘14 years and Up.’ For those that didn’t recognize her, she was given many other colorful nicknames like “S&M Barbie” and “Hooker Barbie” because, let’s face it, that’s exactly what she looks like.
